Tinnitus Assessments

Nearly 4 million Australians experience tinnitus.  Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ear or head even though there is no external or environmental sound creating it.  The person often hears a ringing, buzzing, hissing, clicking, roaring or beeping.

Tinnitus can result from a range of underlying causes and it may be a symptom of a more serious condition.  Any prolonged tinnitus should be evaluated.  Most commonly, tinnitus results from hearing loss in combination with neurological changes.

Our Audiologists are professionally trained in tinnitus evaluation and management and will offer unbiased treatment advice based on your unique experience.  You should allow up to an hour and a half for your tinnitus assessment.

West Coast Audiology is an approved advanced provider of the Neuromonics Tinnitus Treatment.  More information about tinnitus and the Neuromonics treatment program is available on the Neuromonics website.
